How to Celebrate Veterans Day? With a Onesie, Of Course! – Part II: Babies

How to Celebrate Veterans Day

With Veterans Day just around the corner, you may be wondering how to show your support for the US Armed Forces and I’ve suggested some cool onesies for this occasion in Part I of this two-part series. But why should only the adults have all the fun? This presents the perfect excuse – ahem, opportunity – to doll up your baby in military baby clothes too! Getting the whole family dressed up together – there can’t be any better way to say THANK YOU to our veterans than this!! So here we go – some of the best baby onesies for Veterans Day.

US Army ACU Camo Outfit Gift Set

US Army ACU Camo Outfit Gift Set

This is your chance to get your hands on some official, licensed Army Combat Unit camouflage gear for your little one. This 4-piece gift set consists of one camouflage print onesie with the licensed US Army logo, one camo cap, one camo bib AND one camo burp cloth – I mean, why stop at just the onesie, right? There’s a great photo op just waiting to happen if either Mom and/or Dad dons camo too!

Proud Son/Daughter of a US Soldier

Proud Son/Daughter of a US Soldier

This is for babies of US soldier folks – the font of the words is so bold, this onesie just screams PRIDE for being the kid of a US soldier! If black isn’t your thing, no worries as there are plenty of other colors to choose from!

Air Force Onesie with Matching Hat

Army Force babyI simply LOVE this one – any baby will look so cute in this Air Force onesie!! This onesie is made of cotton, so it’s guaranteed to keep your tot feeling comfortable despite its longer sleeves and pant legs. The matching hat is a really nice touch too! Have I already mentioned how your baby will look cute in this?

US Navy Baby

US Navy Baby

Awww, this one is another cutie. I’m lovin’ the detail on the anchor of this US Navy sailor baby onesie. Last I checked, this onesie is available in 31 colors, so you’re bound to find one perfect for your baby!!

(PS: I don’t agree with the idea that pink is only for girls and blue is only for boys. Instead, I believe that ANY baby, REGARDLESS of gender, can wear this! But if you do happen to be looking for an equivalent of this design with blue text, check out this outfit.)

US Marine Corps Onesie

US Marine Corps onesieIt took a while to dig up onesies with US Marine themes as most revolve around the Army, but here’s a good one. This design is courtesy of CafePress, well-known for its selection of custom-made apparel. The official US Marine Corps logo is featured prominently and crisply on the front of the onesie and is instantly recognizable from afar. This onesie is available in four pastel colors, so choose your favorite!

US Coast Guard

US Coast GuardSo we’ve had the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force … last but not least, we have the US Coast Guard. These folks help maintain the safety and security of our maritime waters, and are definitely not to be underestimated. Slip one of these onesies over your tot and put him or her into a bathtub with an inflatable ring for maximum effect! Maybe the makers of this onesie should consider producing a waterproof raincoat version for wet weather, hmmm.

Bonus!: Black American Flag

Black American flag

If you’re looking for something which doesn’t pledge allegiance to a particular branch of the US Armed Forces, this is a great option – the Star-Spangled Banner is printed in black on solid-colored cotton. I recommend pairing this baby onesie with a US flag onesie for adults (check out the “US flag version 3” design in this post!) for an awesome combination of US flag onesies!

I hope this post has inspired you to get your baby involved in the Veterans Day excitement. If you haven’t already done so, do also check out Part I of this series, where I showcase some of the best adult onesies for Veterans Day. Finally, if your baby is dressed to impress for Veterans Day and you would like to show them off (they can be wearing something not featured in this article!), email me your pictures – I might just feature them in an upcoming article!

  1. Hi! What else is there to say, but these options are all so adorable! It makes me miss when my twin daughters were young enough to wear onesies. I think my favorite is the Air Force onesie – so unique! These would all make great gifts for babies who have a parent in the military, not just for Veterans Day! I will keep them in mind for the future. If you have any onesie suggestions specific to babies of police officers and other law enforcement officers, I have many friends who would love those. Thank you for putting together this patriotic and super adorable selection.

Thanks for the GREAT suggestion. Yes, I’ll definitely look into onesies for babies of law enforcement officers – they definitely deserve recognition too!! I’m glad I found another fan of the Air Force onesie as I’m particularly fond of that one – hope that didn’t come as across too obvious in my article!

Diane – thanks for the question! My hands are full just from sharing my love for onesies, so I regretfully don’t have the time to pick up the needle myself. Rest assured though that I source all my suggestions from reputable onesie dealers, so you can be sure you’ll be happy with my recommendations! 🙂
